At Warrego Park, we understand the importance of giving young Thoroughbreds the right start. With a calm, consistent, and horse-first approach, we offer professional breaking-in and pre-training services tailored to meet the individual needs of each horse.
Located in Woodford, QLD, our program is designed to produce well-mannered, confident, and forward-thinking horses that are ready for the next step in their racing careers. Whether you're sending a first-time breaker or a horse needing education and condition before returning to work, we provide a safe, structured environment where horses are handled with care, patience, and experience.
We work closely with trainers to ensure every horse is progressing steadily, both mentally and physically. Our facilities are purpose-built to support early education, and our team has a genuine passion for developing Thoroughbreds the right way.
Our breaking-in program runs over 4 weeks, focusing on building trust, confidence, and responsiveness from day one. We take the time to ensure each horse is well-handled, properly mouthed, soft under saddle, and ready to move forward calmly and willingly.
As part of their early education, horses are also trained through the barriers, ensuring they are comfortable and prepared for raceday conditions. We’re proud to offer a private 1200m sand track, allowing us to condition and familiarize horses with trackwork in a controlled and progressive environment. At the end of their breaking in, we also take them up to the Sunshine Coast Track to familiarise them with a bigger, busier track.
For trainers, this means your horses return to you with a solid foundation - educated, well-mannered, and race-prepped, making the transition into full training smoother and more efficient.

Pre-Training Daily Rate: $60 + GST
Spelling Daily Rate: $23.50 inc GST
